Oh PYKARA ! What a beautiful lake ! I never seen such a wonderful place before. When we were there, our first impression  – Are we in india ?
Coudn’t believe the fact. This lake is a wonderful example of nature’s beauty and is a paradise on earth. One would surely love boating on
the wonderful lake.  A special thanks to my friend Kiran Reddy who suggested this place.

How to reach Pykara Lake :

The Pykara Lake is about 21 kms from Ooty on the Ooty-Mysore road. Any bus from mysore to ooty will go via Pykara.
Here are 9 hero’s who went for the trip : Myself, Ravi Nandan, Phani,  Nageswar,Cnu D, Kiran, Rajsekhar, Kiran reddy  and Pawan.
Our main intention is to go for Forest Safari. So we  booked one mud cottage and camp tent in advance from Deep Jungle Home resort as this place is near to Madhulai forest.

Around the place we stayed
Since we woke up too early, we missed forest safari in morning. So we changed our plan to Pykara lake.  It is just 40km from our stay.
On the way to Pykara
As this place is very near to ooty, you can come across lots of Tea estates.

Pykara Lake

At last we are here.   This lake looks very much similar to Pangong lake in Ladakh.

Sadly, we missed Pykara Falls due to hectic time schedule.
On the whole, it’s a wonderful trip with lots of lessons and surprises 🙂
