All I remember is that we are under a tent. The next thing was a small voice from outside the tent taking my name, and inquiring if we are inside !
That was our position. Instantly, we became a tourist spot for the scorpions who started early in the morning from the cleared traffic and soon reached the place where we are ‘hiding’.
They, now as usual, had covered some good scenes, early in the morning, though some of us are busy with ‘make-up’ and ‘filling their hungry stomach’ (and the reverse process as well 😛 ). All mountains are yours

The scorpions soon after left to reach Keylong , and were there by Lunch. Good timing followed. We (me and chandu) decided to continue our journey of sleep (without even showing the face to all those who came to ‘visit’), and started at 2 PM to reach Keylong at around 7 PM. All is well.

On the way to Keylong is the place Tandi, to be mentioned for two reasons. One is because we find that last filling station before Leh, which is 365 Km away. So any hard hitting bikes or fuel savvy vehicles, they have to be full from here on. The next thing I like about Tandi is its a junction for two big Indian rivers that merge to form Chenab.
After reaching Keylong, we stayed at one of the nice places with good view of the small village overall (or town ? , for me, its the next better places with all basic amenities after Leh). We had good time to roam around, get our bikes repaired (repaired for our own problems, coming up next). Some of us got very good sleep only waking up for dinner. Some preferred to go back to Tandi and enjoy some fresh times.
In the night, finally, WE ALL MET. On the Day 4, the eleven of us meet ! Interesting plan and the implementation. We enjoyed it all though.
The staying place is good for another important reason that there are only 4 rooms on the first floor, and all occupied by us, literally giving us the full house, with the balcony and uninterrupted access to the kitchen.
We had a party time.
We all had good sleep, with everything settling in for the upcoming day. I know, and I have passed the information that Day 5 would have it all. Fun, snow, fantastic moments, long drives, curves…. the himalayas exposed. Dreaming.
